Lorene Ashby

Lorene Woods Ashby, age 93, of Buchanan, Tenn., died Saturday, December 19, 2015, at her residence in Buchanan. She was the widow of Harold Ashby.
She was the daughter of the late William Woods and the late Evie Lindsey Woods.
Lorene was member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church for 35 years where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a Gideon who loved her church family, gospel music and working in her flower beds. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady and Henry Co. Medical Center for many years.
She is survived by her Daughter-Sharon (Eric) Asher of Buchanan, Tenn.; Son-James (Gladys) Ashby of Ohio; Grandchildren: Andrea Ashby, Regina Ashby, Jennifer Ashby, James (Stephanie) Ashby, Stacey (Mike) Henderson and Deborah (Mark Kulesza) Ashby; 13 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Lorene also leaves her special care-givers and friends: Cristie Mason, Jessica Duffy, Jameshia Tharpe and Linda Fillingim.
She was preceded in death by two sisters; Perelene Helman and Arby Reeves and one granddaughter, Lora Lynn Ashby.
A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Monday, December 21, 2015, with Randy Gean officiating. Interment will follow.
