Lola Mae Nanney, age 90 of Paris, TN, died Friday, April 6, 2018, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.
She was a homemaker who loved to make quilts. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church in Paris. She loved her family and her church.
Lola was born May 4, 1927, in Paris, TN, to the late Knox Throgmorton and the late Lucy Crews Throgmorton.
She was married April 6, 1946, to James Daniel Nanney, who preceded her in death on June 29, 1992.
She is survived by one son, Steve (Teresa) Nanney of Paris, TN; one daughter-in-law, Sheryl Nanney of Paris, TN; one sister, Daulene (Kenneth) Norwood of Memphis, TN; one brother, Veltman Throgmorton of Paris, TN; and four grandsons, Scott Nanney, Kevin Nanney, Matt Nanney, and Dane Nanney.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Rickey Nanney; and three sisters, Edna Phelps, Betty Scott, and Sue Bruce.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Paul Veazey officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Bruce, Sonny Baker, Scott Nanney, Kevin Nanney, Matt Nanney, Dane Nanney, and Ryan Parrish.
Burial will follow in Bevil Cemetery in Paris, TN.
