Logan Warren Dodd, age 75, of Buchanan, Tenn., died Thursday, October 1, 2015, at His residence in Buchanan, Tenn.
He was married to Gayle Howard Dodd January 25, 1964 and she survives.
Logan was a member of East Wood Church of Christ where he was a former deacon and teacher. He retired as a Conductor from L & N and CSX Railroad Companies. He enjoyed flying and woodworking.
He was born in Murray, KY June 8, 1940 to the the late Albert Dodd and the late Matre Grubbs Dodd.
Besides his wife Gayle, he is survived by his two sons: Logan Warren (Lisa) Dodd II of Paris, Tenn., and Levi Wayne (Amy) Dodd of Paris, Tenn; one sister Lonnie Faye Mitchell of Buchanan, Tenn; two brothers, Danny G. (Dinah) Dodd of Buchanan, Tenn., and Donnie Lee (Leisa) Dodd of Buchanan, Tenn.; four grandchildren, David Logan Dodd, Grant Mason Dodd, Dalton Cole Dodd and Lauren Brooke Dodd.
He was also preceded in death by his two brothers: Albert E. Dodd and Richard Darren Dodd.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday October 2, 2015. Visitation will continue at East Wood Church of Christ on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at East Wood Church of Christ at 1:00p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015.
Victor Eskew and John Dale will officiate. Pallbearers will be Wes Knee, Bill DeWees, Jerry Bomar, Russell Hehemann, Aaron Hutson, Gerald Howard, Bud Mangrum, and Craig Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be the 4 grandchildren, J. Van Thompson, and the Deacons and Elders at East Wood Church of Christ.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Buchanan, Tenn.
