Lisa Hampton Walker, age 60 of Jackson, TN, died Sunday, March 14, 2021, at her residence.
She attended Oral Roberts University and Memphis State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Paris and the founder of the Walker Endowment Fund for the Needy. Lisa was the owner of Lisa’s Hallmark in Paris from 1993-2006. She also was the former owner of Designer Shoes by Lisa, Lisa’s Shoes & Things, and Lisa’s Sun-sational Tans all in Memphis, TN. She was a member and past president of the Paris-Henry County Arts Council, a board member of Tomorrow’s Hope and the Paris Chapter of Quota Club International, a member of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association.
Lisa was born May 31, 1960, in Lexington, KY, to Willis Carson Hampton, Jr., who survives, of New Johnsonville, TN, and the late Norma Brittain Hampton.
She was married July 28, 1979, to Dr. Charles Allen Walker, who survives, of Jackson, TN.
Along with her father and husband, she is also survived by her son, Jason Michael Walker of Jackson, TN; her daughter, Jordan Brittany Walker of Jackson, TN, and her fiancé Jonathan Smith; and one brother, David Alan Hampton of Smyrna, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242. The body is to be cremated. A celebration of life visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 409 North Wilson Street, Paris, TN 38242. The family asks that those in attendance please share a video remembrance of Lisa that will be recorded during this time. A celebration of life service will begin at 6:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church.
