Linda Susan Smith

Linda Susan Smith, age 75 of Paris, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Milan, TN. 

She was born on October 23, 1949, in Albuquerque, NM to the late Wallace R. Rogers and late Elsie Strain Rogers. 

She later married Paul E. Smith who preceded her in death. 

Linda found her greatest happiness in her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and creating arts and crafts. Thrift store shopping was one of her favorite pastimes. She also loved fishing and treasured her time with her dog, Sugie. 

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (James) Stockdale of Paris, TN; two sons, Chris (Linda K) Smith of McKenzie, TN, and Rufus (Wendy) Smith of McKenzie, TN; one sister, Mary Wyatt of McKenzie, TN; one brother, George A. Rogers of McKenzie, TN; two granddaughters, Rebecca Smith and Elizabeth (Issaic) Ezell; five grandsons, Justin (Susan) Smith, Christopher Smith, Jacob Smith, Gary Dobbins, Jr., and Marcus Dobbins; a multitude of grandchildren; and special friends, Lois Crump and Yvonne Webb. 

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Rogers and Robert Rogers. 

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./PO Box 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling her arrangements. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Melinda Stockdale and Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery with Gary Dobbins, Jr., Marcus Dobbins, Deundre Webb, Jacob Smith, Christopher Smith, and Justin Smith serving as pallbearers.
