Linda Bennett

Linda Mae Bennett, age 72 of Paris, TN, died Monday, December 9, 2019, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, FL.

Along with her husband Charles, she was owner and operator of Royal Cleaners in Paris for 46 years, retiring in January of 2019.  She enjoyed traveling to Florida, camping, reading, sudoku books, and spending time with her family and friends.

Linda was born May 14, 1947 in McMinnville, TN, to the late Amos McCaslin and the late Francis Safley McCaslin.

She was married on June 6, 1965, to Charles Bennett who survives of Paris, TN.  She is also survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Barry) Farmer of Paris, TN, and Teresa Bennett-Elza (Rick) of Southside, TN; one son, Jeremy Bennett of Paris, TN; two sisters, Darlene (Ronnie) Shirley of Murfreesboro, TN, and Shirley McCaslin of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Lucas Farmer of Chattanooga, TN, Libby Farmer of Paris, TN, Carly (Ty) Short of Danville, KY, and Cameron Bennett of Paris, TN; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, R.T. (Shirley) Bennett; and her special companion shih tzu, Sasha.

Besides her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by one brother, Jackie McCaslin; and her mother-in-law, Ruby Bennett.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday December 12, 2019 from 4 – 8 pm and Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10 am – 1 pm.  The funeral service will be Friday, December 13, 2019, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Sharon Crossno officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Green, Eddie Wilson, Bob Hartley, Dennis Crossno, Bobby Barton, and Jerry Carter.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
