Linda Macdonald

Linda MacDonald, age 71 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her residence in Puryear, TN.

She earned her PhD in Education from the University of Virginia. She retired after a long career of teaching and working with children in the field of special education.  She formerly taught at Grove Jr. High School and Harrelson School.  She also enjoyed quilting and kayaking.

Linda was born May 26, 1947, in Chicago, IL to the late Robert Wilson and Joanne Brown Wilson, who survives, of Fairfield, IA.

She was married in 1999 to Bruce MacDonald, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with her mother and her husband, she is also survived by three brothers, Brad Wilson of Chicago, IL, Jeff Wilson of Fairfield, IA, and John Wilson of Chicago, IL.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
