Linda worked as a paralegal for many years in the New Orleans area prior to moving to Tennessee. After moving to Tennessee, she began her work as a private sitter, which she took great pride in caring for others. She loved cooking for others, shopping, gardening, planting flowers, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Linda was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, belonging first to the Savannah Chapter and currently the Martha Chapter 155.
Born June 15, 1945, in Morehead City, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Otis Yeadon, Sr, and the late Helen Ellis Yeadon.
Linda is survived by two sons, Michael Fay (Paddy) Spry of Lumberton, MS, and Steven (Francine) Spry of Ontario, Canada; a sister, Brenda Barnett of Buchanan; two brothers, Raymond Otis (Sharon) Yeadon, Jr., of Leesburg, FL , and Robert (Brenda) Yeadon of Fruitland Park, FL; six grandchildren, Danyell Spry, Mikey (Casey) Spry, Tara (Dannie) Brown, Christopher Spry, Nikki (Damian) Spry, and William Spry; eight great grandchildren, Claire, Samuel II (Ellie), Jakob, Aaliyah, Everleigh, Riley, Barrett, and Marley; and two great great grandchildren, Samuel III, and Ezekiel.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Roy Spry.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, from 4-7 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with an Eastern Star Service to be conducted by the Martha Chapter 155 at 7 pm.
Cremation will follow the service.
