Lillian Mae “Mickie” Carver Palmer Sapaugh, age 84, of Murray, KY, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Murray, KY.

Mickie was a member of Puryear Baptist Church, and the Good Sam Camping Club.   She had worked as an executive Secretary in Banking for several years.   She enjoyed camping, and traveling, and loved horses.

She was born January 27, 1933, in Puryear, TN, to the late George Leslie Carver and the late Sarah Frances Todd Carver.

She was first married to George Dan Palmer and he preceded her in death.  She then was married on May 14, 2004, to Richard “Dick” Sapaugh, who survives, of Murray, KY.

Along with her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Dana Marie Palmer (Justin) Peloquin of LaQuinta, CA; one son, Alan Ray Palmer of San Diego, CA; one step-daughter, Stacy (Joe) Raley of Beltsville, MD; one step-son, Steven (Barb) Sapaugh of Virginia Beach, VA; three grandchildren, Jocelyn Cierra Peloquin, Jordan Marie Peloquin, and Ashton Mark Peloquin; four step-grandchildren, Shaina Sapaugh, Jeanette Davey, and Joey and Kelsey Raley; one step great granddaughter, Violet Sapaugh; one nephew, Raymond Anderson “Ray” Escue, Jr. of Memphis, TN; and several cousins.

In addition to her first husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Ann Carver Escue Cantrell.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where the visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mike Rhodes and Chad Kennedy officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.

Burial of cremains will be in Carson Cemetery at Puryear, TN at a later date.
