Leon Evans, age 93 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at his residence in Paris, TN.
Leon was a U.S. Army veteran, who served and was disabled during WWII. He enjoyed walking down Jim Adams Drive, Mineral Wells Avenue, and Volunteer Drive in Paris, and loved meeting and making new friends.
Leon was born May 31, 1925, in McKenzie, TN, to the late Alonzo W. Evans and the late Betty Faye Williams Evans.
He is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Robbie) Williams of Paris, TN, Brenda (Terry) Morgan of Paris, TN, and Tina Monroy of Grass Lake, MI; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Jason Leon Evans on August 14, 2018; one sister, Mary Rogers; and two brothers, George Evans and Henry Evans.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Wednesday, September 5, 2018, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. Johnathan Smith officiating.
Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial with be in Bird’s Creek Cemetery in Paris, TN.
