Leo Karathanasis, age 51, of Union City, TN, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He was the owner & operator of Moustos in Paris and Union City, TN, and the former owner & operator of Lepantos in Paris. Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hard work.
He was born June 24, 1970, in Katafygio, Greece to the late Nikolaos Karathanasis and Maria Toumpanou Karathanasis, who survives, of Greece.
Along with his mother, he is also survived by his daughter, Tatiana Karathanasis (Caleb Collins), of Union City, TN; three sisters, Eleni Karathanasis of Paris, Aspasia Karathanasis of Greece, and Panagiota Karathanasis of Greece; three brothers, Georgios Karathanasis of Humboldt, TN, Antonios Karathanasis of Paris, TN, and Lampros Karathanasis of Greece; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 419 Old Humboldt Road, Jackson, TN 38305, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, with Rev. Dr. Peter J. Sprio officiating.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN, on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
