A memorial service, with Masonic rites, is planned at noon Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home for retired project engineer Leo H. Collins of Paris.
Honorary pallbearers will be special friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Collins, 84, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
His wife of 62 years, Faye Smith Collins, survives. They were married on Dec. 29, 1951.
Born March 18, 1929, in Oil City, Pa., he was a son of the late Judson and Dorothy Simpson Collins.
A longtime Oil City resident, Collins moved to Tennessee in 2000 following retirement. He retired as a project engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a
member of Masonic Lodge 363 in Pennsylvania. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge and AMVETS, and was a Baptist.
He also leaves one daughter: Darlene (Michael) Bukowski of Goodyear, Ariz.; one brother: Michael Collins of Meadville, Pa.; two grandchildren: Alexis (Rob) Commarota of Damascus, Md.,
and Robert Bukowski of Chandler, Ariz.; and three great-grandchildren: Zachary, Sara and Ryan Commarota.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters: Pearl Slater and Pat Flinchbaugh; and two brothers: Judson Collins Jr., and Nolan Collins.
