Lee Roy Hamlin

Lee Roy Hamlin, age 76 of Henry, TN, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his residence in Henry, TN.

Lee Roy was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ.  He retired after 35 years as Plant Manager with Coca-Cola in Paris.  He drove a school bus for the Henry County School System for several years on the Henry School route.  He drove up until Christmas break 2017.  He enjoyed camping, riding horses, and being with his family and friends.  He was also a former Little League coach and was a true family man.

He was born April 5, 1941 in Henry, TN to the late Norris Hamlin and the late Lucille Bush Hamlin.

Lee Roy was married on November 28, 1963 to Linda Sue Ford Hamlin and she survives of Henry.  He is also survived by one son, Kevin Hamlin & fiancée Kimberly Joyner of Paris, TN; one daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hamlin of Paris, TN; three sisters, Dorris (John) Chilcutt of Paris, TN, Lonell Parker of Nashville, TN, and Betty (Robert) Oliver of Paris, TN; two sisters-in-law, Jerry Hamlin  of Henry, TN, and Brenda Sexton of McKenzie, TN; one brother-in-law, Ricky (Anita) Ford of Henry, TN;  three grandchildren, Ryan (Mandy) Hamlin of Paris, TN, Katelyn Hamlin & fiancé Zach Choate of Murray, KY, and Emily Hamlin of Paris, TN; and three great grandchildren, Ellie Hamlin, Emma Hamlin, and Eden Hamlin.

Besides his parents, Lee Roy was also preceded in death by one son, Jeff Hamlin; one brother, Joe Hamlin; one sister, Marie Owens; and one grandchild, Jeffrey Trey Hamlin.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4 – 8 pm and on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at McKenzie Church of Christ from 11 am – 1 pm.  The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 18, 2018 at McKenzie Church of Christ with Jim Roberts officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joe Lipps, Randy McAdams, Mike Pillsbury, Brandon Boyd, Lowell Schrader, Andy McBee, Eddie VanDyke, and Anthony Conklin.    Named as honorary pallbearers are the Henry School bus drivers, and Jimmy Smith, Billy Hamlin, Dwayne Crews, and Steve Sanders.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Henry, TN.
