Lawrence "Bill" Pittman

Lawrence William “Bill” Pittman age 78 of Buchanan, died Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his residence.

Bill retired from the United States Air Force, where he was a combat engineer. After his military career, he went to work at Ft. Campbell as an engineer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and working in the yard. Bill was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts. He and his wife attended the First Christian Church in Paris.

Bill was married September 22, 2007, to Judy Nicholson Pittman, who survives of Buchanan.

Born September 13, 1944, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Lawrence Everette Pittman and the late Leatrice Agnes Schaflein Pittman.

Along with his wife, Bill is survived by seven children, Kathy (Michael) Ayala of Bloomington, CA, Brandon Pittman of Chicago, IL, Jason (Sarah) Pittman of Indianapolis, IN, Megan Barnes of Paris, Torrie (Ray) Thomas of Ashland City, TN, Nina Foust of Buchanan, and Allen Justin Barnes of Buchanan; two sisters, Mary (Rick) Berger of Indianapolis, and Carol (Tom) Campbell of Brownsburg, IN; a brother, Jimmy (Janet) Pittman of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no local services planned at this time.
