Laura Cox Cunningham

Laura Cox Cunningham, age 91 of Dresden, TN, formerly of Henry County, died Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the Weakley County Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, who loved crossword puzzles, reading books, and cross stitching.

Laura was born August 31, 1927, in Cottage Grove, TN, to the late Otis Rainey Cox and Ruby Pillow Cox.

She was married April 5, 1950, to William Hendley Cunningham, who preceded her in death December 4, 1984.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra McAlpin of Dresden, TN; one son, Dale Edward (Jolene) Cunningham of Martin, TN; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Singleton; and two sons, Carl Powell and William Harold Cunningham.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m. in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Randy Stephens officiating.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN.
