Larry Wilson

Larry N. Wilson age 73 of Paris died Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Larry was currently working for PMB Rentals, where he recently won the Salesman of Year award for 2022. He formerly worked as a deputy for the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. Larry was an avid supporter of youth sports. He umpired baseball and softball for many years and enjoyed cheering on the Henry County Patriots.  Larry, always willing to lend a helping hand to others, spent many hours every December assisting Santa Clause in preparation of Christmas. He was  a lifetime member of the Paris Henry County Rescue Squad. Larry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was very active in its Methodist Men’s group. Having served in the US Army, Larry was a proud Vietnam Veteran.

Larry married Connie Evans Wilson January 10, 1970, and she survives of Paris.

Born May 8, 1949, in Paris, he was the son of the late Guy Nories Wilson and the late Martha Moon Wilson.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his daughters, Amy (Tobe) Wilson Spain of Lavinia, TN, and Laurie (Justin) Wilson Parrish of Paris; two grandchildren, Landon Wayne Spain and Layton Jane Parrish; and a sister, Sherry (Jerry Dale) Robertson of Gulfport, MS.

In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by his stepmother Mary Lois Emerson Wilson.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 409 S. Wilson St., Paris, TN 38242, from 4-7pm and continue Thursday, February 23, 2023, after 10 am at the church. His funeral service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 11 am at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastors Emily Walker and Mike Wimberley officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Jon Trosper, Johnathan White, Mike Wilson, Ross Wimberley, John Scroggins, and Monte Belew.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry’s cousins, Will Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Terry Farris, Rickey Farris, Dennis McClure, and Jimmy McClure.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
