Larry Dale Waldron, age 81 of Paris, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his residence.
Larry was an owner-operator truckdriver for 22 years. He retired from Caterpillar in Aurora, IL after 16 years as a security guard. Larry enjoyed line dancing, riding motorcycles, and working on and restoring old cars. He also enjoyed playing a good prank on family members and friends. He was generous to anyone who had a need and was an amazing father to his three children. He was a Baptist by faith.
He was born on March 4, 1943, in Pontotoc County, MS to the late Elbert L. Waldron and to the late Catherine Kendrick Waldron.
Larry married Peggy Sue Waldron on August 4, 1962, and she preceded him in death on May 21, 2003 after 41 years of marriage. He later married Glenda Walker Key and she survives of Paris.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Tim) Kuehlem of Plano, IL, and Kimberley (Brian) Brewer of Eva, TN; one son, Larry J. (Teresa) Waldron of Paris, TN; three sisters, JoAnn (Lester) Foreman of Olive Branch MS, Sandra (Milton) Ballard of Olive Branch, MS, and Debbie Teaser of Olive Branch, MS; eight grandchildren, Kristen (Doug) Ness, Ashley (Jake) Barry, Kacey (Jacob) Hunt, Kyle (Kelly) Waldron, Gunner Wright, Shelby (Nick) Muncey, and Savana (Trevyn) Baxter; and eleven great grandchildren.
Along with his first wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Kaye Waldron; and one brother, Ricky Waldron.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./PO Box 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling his arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 12 – 2 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. His funeral service will be Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan, TN. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Waldron, Nick Muncey, Trevyn Baxter, Richard Stewart, Tim Kuehlem, and Brian Brewer.
