Larry Wade

Larry Joe Wade, age 81 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

He worked for over 20 years at Farm Credit.  He went on to work for over 20 years for the Bank of Huntingdon, later First Bank, where he retired as Vice President.  Larry was a member of Puryear United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and yardwork.

Larry was born November 29, 1939, in Cottage Grove, TN, to the late Clovis Aden “Jack” Wade and the late Ruby Call Wade.

He was married December 11, 1966, to Jane Burchfiel Wade, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Jennifer Wade Smith of Murray, KY; his son, Jody (Amanda) Wade of Covington, TN; one sister, Karen (David) Wilson of Paris; five grandchildren, Kelsey (Wayde) Younger, Emma Wade, Cody Crocker, Caleb Crocker, and Jillian Smith; and one great grandchild, Laken Wayde Younger.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Friday, May 7, 2021, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dale Gallimore officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Crocker, Caleb Crocker, Wayde Younger, John Penn Ridgeway, Matthew McClure, and Jason Wilson.

A private burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
