Larry Thompson

Larry Dan “L.D.” Thompson, age 64, of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, December  4, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

He was married February 15, 1969 to Robbie Nell Lindsey Thompson & she survives.

He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and formerly worked 13 years at Markel Lighting Co. in Paris, TN.   He was also a U.S. Army veteran.   L.D. also loved selling produce and was an avid fisherman.

He was born December 6, 1948,  the son of the late Clifford William Thompson and the late Edith Faye  Burnette Thompson.

He is also survived by his three daughters-Tressa Prince & special friend Eddie Gaskins of Puryear, TN, Amanda Thompson of Columbia, TN, Kristi Thompson & special friend Alvie Milliken of Puryear, TN,  One Sister, Betty Jean Paschall of Paducah, KY, One Brother, Dale Thompson of Paris, TN; Grandchildren, Michael Prince, David Grant McManis, Cody Prince, Heather Ratliff, Lindsey Ratliff and Hailey Thompson;  4 Great Grandchildren, Hunter Prince, Christian Younger, Miley Prince and Hannah Prince.

L.D. was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Gail Skinner in 2012 and a grandson Scott Daniel Hawks.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. Paris, TN, where visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Thursday, December  5, 2013 and after 11am until the service at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, December  6, 2013

Micheal Barnhart & Chad Kennedy will officiate.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Prince, Grant McManis, Cody Prince, Chad Thompson, Kenneth Hart and Ricky Lindsey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jeff Thompson, Neil Thompson, Joey Thompson, and Kevin Paschall.

Interment will be at Birds Creek Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
