LaDonna Jean Johnson, age 84 of Springville, TN, died Monday, July 23, 2018, in Clarksville, TN.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles. She was known as the “Bucket Lady” by other fisherman for always sitting on a bucket with a pole in her hand. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris.
LaDonna was born August 9, 1933, in Chicago, IL, to the late Edward Whaley and the late Lorene Reichle Whaley.
She was married February 18, 1949, to Harry Johnson, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2002.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Ripley of Clarksville, TN; six grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer) Willtrout, LaDonna Willtrout, Amanda Willtrout, Jamie Shroyer, Danna Cook, and Jeanie Roy; and 11 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lorene Willtrout and Cookie Roy; and one granddaughter, Janet Roy.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, with the funeral mass to follow at 12:30 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Father Martin Orjianioke officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Ghyers, Richard Willtrout, Jr., Jacob Shroyer, Preston Willtrout, Richard Willtrout, III, and Harry Swanson.
Entombment will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN.
