Kenneth Owen Wright, age 90 of Paris, died Monday, August 7, 2017, at Henry County Medical Center.

He was a retired foreman from Holley Carburetor Plant, farmed for many years and was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church.  Kenneth was a veteran of the US Army, former Captain of the Henry County Rescue Squad and member of the Good Sam’s Camping Club.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and attending dance events.

Born March 17, 1927, in Mansfield, TN, he was the son of the late William Fleetwood Wright and the late Delmar Yarbrough Wright.  He married Cornelia Smith Wright on December 25, 1949 and she preceded in death on May 12, 1997.

Survivors include his two daughters, Brenda Amburgey of Henry, TN, and Bonnie (Steve) Miles of Mission, TX; one son, Roy E. (Janice) Wright of Paris;  two sisters, Peggy Summers and Betty (Wayne) Roberts both of Hollow Rock, TN; and one brother,  Tommy (Patricia) Wright of Scottsboro, AL.

Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, Amanda (Shane) Flood, Kevin (Beth) Wright, Ken (Donna) Wright, Misty (Billy) Bishop, Deanna (Chris) Carr, Chris (Kelly) Miles, Monique Amburgey, Jennifer Amburgey and special friend Jeremy Clark, Megan Amburgey and Fiance’ Shane Gordon, and Dustin Amburgey;  ten great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Beside his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, James Steven Wright; a son in law, James Amburgey, and a brother, Edward Wright.

Pallbearers for the service are Ken Wright, Kevin Wright, Chris Miles, Dustin Amburgey, Bransen Singleton, and Shane Gordon.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, from 4 – 7 pm and continue on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 11 – 1 pm.  His funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday August 10, 2017 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Kenny Locke officiating.

Burial with Military Rites will follow the service at New Hope Methodist Cemetery in Carroll County near Vale, TN.
