Ken Cowell

Kenneth Wynns “Ken” Cowell, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

He was the owner & operator of Elkhorn Distributing, an independent distributor for Allegro Marinades in Paris.  He formerly worked at Kroger in Paris for 30 years.  Ken was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church, the Outlaws-Horseman, and the National Rifle Association.  He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers football and Henry County Patriots fan.  He loved his family and friends.

Ken was born February 6, 1959, in Paris, TN, to the late Bernard Hale Cowell and Sue Ann Wynns Cowell Shepherd, who survives, of Pensacola, FL.

Along with his mother, he is also survived by his stepfather, Jerry Shepherd of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Myra (Rusty) Walker of Pulaski, TN; and two nieces, Stephanie Walker of Pulaski, TN, and Rachel Walker of Pulaski, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Friday October 12, 2018 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.  The funeral service will be Friday, October 12, 2018, at 10:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. Johnathan Smith officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Wynns, Jeff Pennington, Matt Nanney, Jimmy Lipford, Randy Whitehead, John Fuqua, Matt Whitehead, Greg Bradshaw, Devin Stone, and Todd Jordan.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Danny Ellis, Rusty Walker, all former Kroger co-workers, and all Allegro co-workers.

Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
