Kelley W. Farris

Kelley W. Farris, age 97 of Paris, TN, died Friday, August 3, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

Kelley retired as the longtime owner & operator of Farris Amoco in Paris where he worked for 32 years.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, where he earned four bronze stars, a good conduct medal, and a WWII victory medal.  He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris.  He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved God and his church family.

Kelley was born February 21, 1921, to the late Marvin P. Farris and the late Lena Vickery Farris.

He was married January 4, 1941 to Lorene Sue Wilson Farris, who preceded him in death on June 18, 2005.

He is survived by one daughter, Janice Farris of Paris, TN; three sons, Kelley D. Farris of Paris, TN, Terry D. (Donna) Farris of Paris, TN, and Rickey (Judy) Farris of Paris, TN; special nephew, Mike (Cheryl) Wilson of Paris, TN; one sister, Juanita (Billy) Jones of Paris, TN; 8 grandchildren, John (Flint) Farris, Kelley (Leslie) Farris, Jr., Melissa (Darryl) Cherry, Jeremy (Samantha) Farris, Justin Farris, Sarah (Kevin) Brown, Terrey Dawn (Gerald) Tharpe, and Seth Farris and special friend Aubree Guess; and 17 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Annie Mae Farris; two sisters, Clara Nash and Sue Hart; and two brothers, Pete Farris and Woodard Farris.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue Monday, August 6, 2018, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church in Paris. The funeral service will be Monday, August 6, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church, with Bro. Johnathan Smith officiating.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
