Kay Lancaster

Kay Harmon Lancaster age 96 of Paris went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at her home.

Born September 26, 1925, in Dunlap, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Harmon, and the late Myrtle McGlothen Harmon.

Kay was married to Bitsie Larue Lancaster on July 14, 1945. He preceded her in death July 20, 1996. She was blessed with a large family. They raised four children, had sixteen grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker with the special gift of hospitality. She welcomed hundreds through her door and into her home. All who entered were always extended lots a love and a warm meal. Kay was a member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ. She enjoyed to worship and was the matriarch of Acappella Ministries for the past 40 years. In her later years, she enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center. But most of all, she enjoyed being with family and friends.

Survivors include three children, Sandra (Hecktor) Hatcher, Donnie (Penny) Lancaster both of Paris, and Keith (Sharon) Lancaster of Goodlettsville, TN; and her afore mentioned grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter in law Roger (Vicky) Lancaster; her nine siblings, four sisters, Nola Jane King, Mayme Williams, Mildred Watson, and Ollie Smith; five brothers, three in infancy, W.A Harmon, and Ray Harmon; and two grandchildren, Dwayne Lancaster, and Christy L. Lancaster.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Sulphur Well Church of Christ 1760 Oak Grove Road S, Springville, TN 38256, beginning at 11 am. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Sulphur Well Church of Christ at 1 pm with her grandson Brishan Hatcher and other grandchildren officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kay’s grandchildren.

Burial will in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
