Kathryn “Granny” Peppers Hoggard age 84 of Buchanan died Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Henry County Medical Center.
Granny, as she was lovingly known as, was a retired product manager from Dana Corp. After retiring she worked with her son in his landscaping and mowing business. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and fishing. She was a member of Buchanan United Methodist Church and the VFW and AMVETS Ladies' Auxiliaries.
Born December 25, 1935, in Osceola, AR, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Peppers and the late Emma Chapman Peppers.
She was married to Paul Hoggard, Sr, September 19, 1953, who preceded her in death January 19, 1996.
Survivors include: her son, Paul (Marie) Hoggard, Jr. of Buchanan, two grandsons, Christopher (Tonya) Hoggard, and Matthew Dane (Angela) Hoggard; three great grandchildren, Austin, Christine, and Brooklyn; four great great grandchildren, Asher, Everett, Karter, and Jase; three sisters, Lorraine Loeiss, Erma (Jack) Riedel, and Dorothy (Dick) Mickey; and a brother, Larry (Lilly) Peppers.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale Hoggard; a sister, Jean Ceccanessee; and five brothers, Rufus Peppers, Jr., Lee Oren Peppers, Walter Peppers, Doyle Peppers, and Richard Peppers.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242. Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020, from 10 am until 12 pm, with a brief time of remembrance to follow at 12 pm in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.
