Kathlene Ferrell

Kathlene Chandler Ferrell, age 95, of Apopka, FL ,formerly of Henry County, TN, died April 27, 2016 at the Sunbelt Nursing Home in Apopka, FL.

Kathlene was a member of the Apopka Church of Christ.  During her career she worked as a teacher and librarian.

She was a loving wife of O.C. Ferrell, Sr. who departed in March of 2000 and she is survived by her son and his wife, O.C. and Linda Ferrell of Nashville, TN; a grandson, James C. Ferrell and a great grandson, George C. Ferrell of Houston, TX.   Kathlene is also survived by her Sister-in-Law, Mary Ann Chandler of Portland, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Avie and Riley Chandler; her brothers , Sedrick and his wife Bea Chandler, Bill Chandler, Robert Chandler; and sister, Joy and her husband John Anderson.

Kathlene had a very robust and fulfilling life, spending nearly the last 38 years retired, enjoying families and friends, and making lifelong friendships along the way.  She and O.C. traveled around the U.S. and internationally and never met a stranger.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN.   Visitation will be Saturday April 30, 2016 from 10 - 11 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am Saturday April 30, 2016 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
