Kathie Marie Beddies, age 71 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at TriStar Natchez Medical Center in Dickson, TN.
She worked as a sales representative for Dexter Advertising for over 30 years where she loved her clients and treated them like family. Kathie grew up on a family farm in Bowling Green, MO, where she learned the value of hard work. She enjoyed serving as a former coach for her children’s sports teams and loved volunteering with several organizations. Kathie was active in Tennessee Right to Life and was a strong supporter of Tomorrow’s Hope. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris, where she enjoyed working the annual Oktoberfest and serving in many areas throughout the church. Kathie’s family was everything to her. She was the matriarch of the family and was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren.
Kathie was born August 17, 1948, in Louisiana, MO, to the late Elmer William Beddies and the late Juanita Walker Beddies.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Martin of Paris, TN; her son, Brian (Leigh) Horton of Paris, TN; one brother, Mike (Lisa) Beddies; five grandchildren, Autumn Price, Zane Martin, Balin Horton, Maura Horton, and Landry Horton; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son at birth, Stanley Horton; and one grandchild, Brooklyn Price.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242. Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2020, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1210 E. Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242, with Father Martin Orjianioke officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Christensen, Danny Christensen, Richard Worsham, Jordan Beddies, John Beddies, and Josh Christensen. Named as honorary pallbearers are Wayne Korte, Matthew Worsham, David Worsham, Kameron Christensen, Ben Perry, and Tom Gruer.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
