Justin Joseph Kemppainen, age 41 of Puryear, died Monday, November 8, 2021, in Paris.
Justin enjoyed fishing and was an avid Tennessee Titans fan. His family was especially important to him. Playing with his grandson gave him the most joy.
Born August 25, 1980, in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Daniel Jacob Kemppainen, and Kathleen Stawski Kemppainen Owens, who survives of Puryear.
Along with his mother, survivors include his son, Steven (Harley Wheeler) Kemppainen of Puryear; seven siblings, Stacy Kemppainen of Puryear, Amanda (James Cathers) Kemppainen of Puryear, Megan (James) Catt of Puryear, Susan (Robbie) Witt of Paris, Wayne Kemppainen of Puryear, Jesse Kemppainen of Puryear, and Tommy (Morgan Hulett) Kemppainen of Paris; a grandson, Ace Joseph Kemppainen; his stepfather, Larry Zuckschwerdt of Puryear; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Additional survivors include his best friend, Erica Dailey; and his dog, Lilly.
In addition to his father, Justin was preceded in death by a brother, Adam Kemppainen; his uncle, Danny; and brother-in-law, Todd McKinney.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242 will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at the funeral home from 10 AM until 12:30 PM. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with his uncle, Tracy Ray officiating.
Justin’s siblings and his son will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
