June Rushing Anderson

June Rushing Anderson, 82 retired from Maury County Register of Deeds, died Saturday March, 9 2019 at her residence in Maury County.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Anderson will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Graymere Church of Christ with John Vaughn officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Oakes and Nichols, Tuesday from 11:00 – 1:00 P.M. at the church, and Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, Tennessee. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Walker Cemetery also in Paris.

Memorials may be made to Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch, 298 Middle Road, Riverhead, NY 11901.

Born April 30, 1936 in Benton County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Watts Rushing and Idea Phifer Rushing. Mrs. Anderson married her husband Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Anderson on May 28, 1953, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2005. She worked for the Maury County Register of Deeds for 25 years. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed playing tennis and bridge. Mrs. Anderson was a very active member of the Graymere Church of Christ, and loved her church family dearly.

She is survived by her son Jonathan Wayne Anderson (Tonya Underwood); daughter Allison Patterson of Hixson, TN; grandchild Kaitlyn Patterson of Birchwood, TN; sister Ethel Rose Paschall of Paris, TN; sister in law Jean Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her sister Ernestine Rushing; son in law Pat Patterson; brother in law Bob Anderson.

Pallbearers will include John Paschall, Stan Wilson, Wayne Fuqua, Chad Howard, Jordan Hughes, Spencer LeBlanc, Jacob Canaday, and David Rushing.
