June Chesser

Norma June Chesser, age 91 of Buchanan, TN, died Thursday, October 11, 2018, at her residence in Buchanan, TN.

She formerly worked as a seamstress at Sears retail store.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Oakland City, IN, and the White Shrine in Greensburg, PA.  June enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, needlepoint, crocheting, and macramé.  She loved the lake, boating and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  She loved being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

June was born August 1, 1927, in Oakland City, IN, to the late Hume Brothers and the late Genevieve Rinehart Wilcoxen.

She was married August 21, 1948 to Raymond Lloyd Chesser, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Larry) Simmons of Hamlin, KY; one son, Dave (AnneMarie) Chesser of Fairbanks, AK; one sister, Carolyn (Ron) Peachee of Evansville, IN; one brother, Gary (Ann) McGreagor of Shoreline, WA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carla Caperelli.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  A graveside service will be held Monday, October 15, 2018, at 1:00 pm at New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan, TN, with Steve Littleton officiating.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Smith, Kyle Bryson, Ryan Meredith, Elijah Kirk, Mark Simmons, and Caleb Chesser.

Burial will follow the graveside service in New Liberty Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
