Judith Ann “Judy” Gates, age 72, of Puryear, Tenn., died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at her residence in Puryear, Tenn.
She married James A. Gates and he survives. Judy was a member of Springville Church of Christ and she attended West Wood Pentecostal Church of God. She was a retired restaurant owner-operator for many years and most recently owned and operated the Stoplight Cafe in Puryear, TN. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her Grandchildren.
She was born in Paris, TN to the late Henry Winsett and the late Annie Vestie Rowlett Winsett Higdon.
Besides her husband, she is also survived by her Step-mother, Fay Winsett of Bruceton,TN; Two Daughters, Tamera (Tommie) Dicus of Paris, Tenn, Marsha Cosey of Knoxville, Tenn; Three Sons,
James W. Gates of Puryear, Tenn, Loy Gates of Springville, Tenn, Brad (Whitney) Gates of Buchanan, Tenn; Three Sisters, Alice French of Springville, Tenn, Brenda (Larry) Spencer of Bruceton, Tenn, JoAnn Davis of Paris, Tenn; One Brother, Wayne (Helen) Winsett of Springville, Tenn; Grandchildren, Meagan Gates, Brandon Cosey, Breanne Gates, Ashley Gaut, Kristin Walters, Tyler Walters, Austin Walters, Zander Gates, Zoey Gates, and Maddie Gates; and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 11 am – 1 pm Saturday, July 11, 2015. The Funeral Service will be Graveside at West Wood Cemetery at 1:30 pm Saturday, July 11, 2015.
Joe Page and Charles T. Cate will officiate.
Interment will be at West Wood Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
