Judith Kay "Judy" Bankey

Judith Kay “Judy” Bankey, age 72 of Paris, TN, died Friday, August 2, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

She retired from the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville as a receptionist.  Judy was a member of Kentucky Lake Church of Christ in Buchanan and a former member of Madison Church of Christ in Madison, TN.  She loved to dance, loved her pets, and anything Tennessee Vols, especially UT football.

Judy was born May 1, 1949, to the late James Hunt and the late Lula Mae Shields Hunt.

She was married August 25, 1986, to Timothy “Sandman” Bankey, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Amanda (Jake) Skenandore of Ft. Benning, GA, and Kristy Bates of Millersville, TN; three sons, Robert E. Lee of Ridgetop, TN, James Steven (Kendra) Lee of Hendersonville, TN, and Timothy Alan Bankey of Paris, TN; one brother, Wayne Hunt of Goodlettsville, TN; seven grandchildren, Olivia Lee, Ethan Lee, Colton Lee, Avianna Lee, Zariah Lee, Taylor Bates, and Goddrick White; four great grandchildren, Skyler Lee, Tanner Lee, Cayden Lee, and Adison Lee; and special friends, Linda Hodge, Jenny Graff, and Bobbie Phillips.

In addition to his parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Jim Hunt.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Tuesday, August 6, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Ed Smith officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jake Hudson, Collin Vernon, Dru Hendrix, James Dumas, Noel Hatman, and Greg Bankey.

Cremation will follow the service.  Burial of cremains will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, TN at a later date.
