Juanita Vick Hubbard Riley

Juanita Vick Hubbard Riley age 96 of Paducah, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care in Paducah.

Juanita was a retired beautician, having owned and operated Juanita’s Beauty Shop in Paris, and worked at Lowe’s Beauty Shop and Paris Manor as a beautician.  She was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the WMU, and served on many various committees. While at Fairview, she started her Potato Soup Ministry, where she used her love for cooking to serve others in various times of need.

Born July 2, 1927, in Calloway County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Vick and the late Nell Newbill Vick.

She first married James E. Hubbard April 21, 1945, who preceded her in death June 4, 1981. On December 27, 1986, she married Habert Riley, who also preceded her in death July 22, 2008.

Survivors include her son, Rick (Joyce) Hubbard of West Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, Melissia (Tracey) Maupin of Henry, Erin (Jeremy) Goodman of Paducah, Adrian (Seth) Buntin of Pegram, TN, and Valarie (Jeremy) Shoulta of Gainesville, GA; eleven great grandchildren, Breanna (Austin) Thompson, Kaitie (Shane) Walker, Abby Goodman, Sam Goodman, Lincoln Goodman, and Piper Goodman, Oliver Buntin, Lily Buntin, and Violet Buntin, and Maggie Shoulta, and Macy Shoulta; and two great great grandchildren, Payton Thompson, and Adeline Thompson.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Priscilla Foss; and her siblings, Opal Black, Warren Vick, Ernest “Bud” Vick, Nathan Vick, and Bill Vick.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., / P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jeremy Shoulta and Rev. Rick Miller officiating.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Jeremy Goodman, Seth Buntin, Austin Thompson, Shane Walker, Sam Goodman, Oliver Buntin.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
