Juanita Barrow

Juanita Barrow, age 90 of Buchanan, TN, died Monday, October 28, 2024, at her residence.

She was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. Juanita enjoyed flowers and bird watching. She was also a member of the Quilt Lovers Club in Murray, KY.

Juanita was born March 28, 1934, in Kirksey, KY, to the late Edward Dowdy and the late Audie Bolen Dowdy.

She married Leonard Ray Barrow on November 28, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Darrel) Robertson of Buchanan, TN; her two sons, Wade Barrow of Paris, TN and Mark (Jackie) Barrow of Buchanan, TN; one sister, Velera Finney of Hazel, KY; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters; Madglene Collie, Kathleen Bean, and Gladys Dowdy; and four brothers; Richard “R.L.” Dowdy, James Dowdy, George Dowdy, and Bob Dowdy.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2024, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darren Robertson, Doug Robertson, Robert Mercier, Troy Barrow, Brandon Barrow, and Greg Barrow. 

Burial will follow the service at Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
