Joyce Faye Cook, age 87 of Paris, TN, died Monday, January 31, 2022, at her residence.
She retired after many years as a real estate agent. Joyce lived for her family and enjoyed traveling when her health allowed her to. She loved the Lord, enjoyed witnessing to others, and was a member of Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris.
Joyce was born August 26, 1934, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Jesse Nobles and the late Elizabeth Luville “Lou” Andrews Nobles.
She was married October 25, 1985, to James “Jim” Cook, who survives, of Paris.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by three children, Deborah (Keith) Patterson of Tupelo, MS, Sharon R. (Dan) Fuqua of Milan, TN, J. Bradley (Christine) Cook of IN; six grandchildren, Kevin Patterson, Kelly (Jason) Clark, Brandon (Michelle) Wynne, Amanda (Joe) Jones, Jennifer Cook, and Savannah Fuqua; seven great grandchildren; three nephews, David (Nancy) Hicks, Greg Hicks, and Les (Coco) Hicks and their families; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Suzanne Wynne; one son, David S. Cook; and one sister, Carolyn Hicks.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Carlton Gerrell officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Jones, Jacob Jones, Jamie Hicks, Brandon Wynne, David Hicks, and Greg Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Les Hicks, Dereck Hicks, and John Jones.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
