Joyce Ann Dunn Thompson

Joyce Ann Dunn Thompson, age 76 of Paris, TN, died Monday, August 23, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center, in Paris.

She formerly worked at Sewannee Castle and retired from Plumley Rubber Company. Joyce was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, enjoyed working in the yard, loved traveling around the country in her motor home, and loved stopping at casinos.

Joyce was born January 11, 1945, in Paris, TN, to the late John A. Dunn, Sr., and to the late Mary Louise McFarland Dunn.

She is survived by her long-time companion, Clifford Pittman of Paris; two sons, Glen Edward (Debra) Jacobs of Meridianville, AL, and Kenneth Ray (Stacy) Jacobs of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Judy Hakenjos of Paris and Elizabeth Massengill of Bartlett, TN; one brother, John A. Dunn Jr. of Paris; three grandchildren, Brandi Michelle Jacobs, Steven Levi Jacobs, and Cody (Olivia) Jacobs; and one great grandchild, Jaxson Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Paschall and La Rue Dunn; and three brothers, J.D. Dunn, David Earl Dunn, and Joe Dunn.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 11:00 am at Bethesda Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Russell Ragsdale officiating.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
