Jon Spicer

Jonathan David “Jon” Spicer, age 43 of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Henry County, died Friday, September 3, 2021, in Cincinnati.

On August 2, 1978, in Mayfield, KY, Jon was born to a loving mother Betty Lee McGee Noss, and a loving family of his granny, Sherma McGee, his sister, Jamie Spicer (Mike) Mann, and his brother, James Michael (Marcia) Spicer. He had a loving stepdad Virgil Noss, who was his dad.

He attended Puryear School, Henry County High School, and Murray State University, before joining the U.S. Coast Guard. Jon served ten years in the Coast Guard before leaving due to an illness.

He was married November 21, 2000, to Christina Renae Tidwell Spicer, who survives, of Cincinnati.

Along with his wife, mother, sister, and brother, he is also survived by his son, Samuel Kobe Spicer who was born February 5, 2002, two nieces, Amy (Michael) Williams, and Grace Spicer; nephews, Matthew Mann, Riley Tidwell, and George Spicer; great nieces, Madison, and Bailey Williams; and a great nephew, Jackson Williams.

Additional survivors include his loving pets, Max, Roscoe, and Fishman.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the memorial service to begin at 12 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Cliff Evans officiating. Special music will be provided by Bro. Michael Barnhart and Faye Duke.

Honorary pallbearers for the service are Robert Newman, Jimmy Spicer, Matthew Mann, and Mike Mann.

Burial of cremains with United States Coast Guard Honors will follow the service at Palestine Cemetery in Paris, TN.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
