John R. "Tree" Holt

John R. “Tree” Holt, age 55 of Buchanan, TN, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence.

John formerly worked as a foreman at Plumley.  He was a Boy Scout Leader for troop 22 for many years.  He enjoyed restoring cars, woodworking, repairing computers and was an avid Tennessee Titans fan.

He was born May 26, 1962 in Paris, TN to the late John Esther Holt and Mae Dell Burdin Holt who survives of Paris, TN

John was married on January 20, 1984 to Tamara Cook Holt who survives of Buchanan, TN.  Besides his wife and mother, John is also survived by one daughter, Nicole (Jay) Hosford of Paris, TN; two sons, J.R. (Kelly) Holt of Springville, TN, and Skylar Holt of Buchanan, TN; and three grandchildren, Slayden Hosford of Paris, TN, Jimmy Holt of Springville, TN, and Kaitlyn Holt of Springville, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 11 am – 2 pm.  There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, TN with Bro. Kenny Carr officiating.

Pallbearers will be Randy McCarty, Shane Cooper, Mark Blankenship, Jeremy Blankenship, Steve Bryson, Jay Hosford, T.C. Myrick, Royce Cook, and James Hixson.

Burial will follow in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
