Johnny Wayne “Beetle” Capps, age 60 of Puryear, TN, died Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Perry County Nursing Home in Linden, TN,
He loved people and enjoyed interacting with others. Johnny was a big teddy bear and an avid Tennessee Titans fan.
Johnny was born August 1, 1963, in Paris, TN, to the late Lawrence Capps and the late Laverne Pace Capps.
He is survived by his five nephews, Chris Capps (Tiffany) of Paris, Eric Capps (Amanda) of TX, Larry Haddock of OH, Ronnie (Trisha) Haddock of OH, and Jason Haddock of Paris; three sisters-in-law, Jackie Capps of Murray, KY, Delois Capps of Paris, and Faye Capps of Paris; three nieces, Lori Capps (Richie) Pond of Paris, Carrie (Art) Smith of Paris, and Paula Haddock of OH; and several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Capps Haddock; and two brothers, Charles Capps and David Capps.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Pond, Chris Capps, Stacey Nored, and Johnny Ward.
Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Paris, TN.
