Johnny Brown

Johnny Theron Brown, age 66 of Buchanan, TN, died Monday, November 6, 2017, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN.

Johnny formerly worked at Paris Landing State Park in maintenance.  He retired as the Fire Chief from Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department where he was active for over 25 years.  He was an avid farmer, and owned and operated Brown Farms in Buchanan.  He was a member of Jesus Saves Baptist Church.

Johnny was born July 2, 1951, in Paris, TN, to the late Barney McCoy Brown and the late Ailene Thomas Brown Barnhill.

He is survived by one daughter, Crystal Hinson & fiancé Rodney Greer of Benton, KY; one son, William Cory Brown of Buchanan, TN; former wife, Linda Brown of Benton, KY; one brother, Mac (Paulette) Brown of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Haily Brown, Starlah Chavez-Brown, Madison Hinson, Kiley Hinson, Kahlan Greer, and Shelby Greer; and extended family, Melissa (Billy) Bowen and their children, Mistie Bowen, Jayson Bowen, Joey Bowen; and also Bob Mapes.

Along with his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Brown and Jimmy Brown.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  The body is to be cremated.  Memorial visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the memorial service to begin at 6:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Named as honorary pallbearers are the members of the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department.
