Johnny Berry

Johnny L. Berry, age 73, of Big Sandy, TN died Tuesday March 11, 2025, at Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN.

Johnny had a deep love for farming and cows. He retired after 24 years with the city of Paris as Landfill Supervisor and he proudly served in the National Guard for 8 years and was known for his strong work ethic. A fan of bluegrass music, he enjoyed taking road trips to Texas. Above all, Johnny cherished his family and the special moments spent together during family gatherings.

He was born December 6, 1951 in Camden, TN to the late Roy D. Berry and to the late Lorene Brewer Berry.

Johnny married Kim Kinnick Berry January 4, 1985, who survives, of Big Sandy, TN.

He is also survived by his three children; Teri (Bryan) Stephens of Big Sandy, TN, Andy Berry of Big Sandy, TN, Mark (Ashley) Berry of Paris, TN; a brother, Roy C. (Betty) Berry of Big Sandy, TN; a brother-in-law, Robbie “Cotton” Kinnick of Paris, TN; a special family member, Patti Stephens; eight grandchildren, Melody (Daniel) Walker, Rachel (Seth) Crews, Amie Stephens, Hayes Berry, Chloe Berry, Ember Buchnam, Trinity Berry, and Shirley Berry; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte Walker, Cora Walker, Sawyer Crews, and Rylee Crews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Lura Dean Clayton.

The body will be cremated and the family will hold a service at a later date.
