John Dickson McClure

John Dickson McClure, age 76 of Paris, TN, died Friday, October 29, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare – Volunteer Hospital in Martin, TN.

He retired after several years as a computer analyst.  John was an avid book reader, reading a book every other day.  He enjoyed vegetable gardening and was a 4-star cook.

John was born May 18, 1945, in Detroit, MI, to the late Lonnie Ray McClure and the late Margaret Carman Southerland.

He was married May 21, 1976, to Janet Webster March McClure, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his two daughters, Mandy McClure of Cairo, Egypt, and Kimberly LaFleur of Brunswick, OH; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Patsy McClure Moore.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
