John Priester

John O. Priester, age 66 of Waverly, TN, passed at home with family on Friday April 28, 2017.
John served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Public Works Department and served on the City Council in Ocala, Florida. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. John enjoyed helping others and was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything.
John was born December 21, 1950 in Gainesville, FL to the late James Olan Priester and the late Agnes Caldonia Talley Horne.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Joy (Dwayne) Baker of Alexandria, KY, and Talley Priester; one son, Jesse O. Priester of Greensboro, NC; three sisters, Pamela Connell, Caldonia Brownell, and Gayle Drake all of Lyons, GA; one brother, Gene Watson of Ocala, FL; and nine grandchildren, Jacob Priester, Hayley Priester, Alex Priester, Cody Priester, Austin Baker, Andrew Baker, Alyssa Baker, Evan Priester, and Owen Priester.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. He is to be cremated with a Private Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
