John Bennett “Jody” Caldwell, Jr., age 49, of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., died Monday, October 12, 2015, at his residence in Cumberland Gap, Tenn.
Jody loved his family and friends and attended Pump Springs Baptist Church. He had been employed since 2006 by Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN, first working in the Admissions Office then serving as Director of Rotations for the college. He had also served in that capacity at Western University in Pomona, CA.
He was born June 14, 1966 in Chicago, IL to the late John Bennett Caldwell Sr. and the late Illa Mae Hubbard Caldwell Jackson.
He is survived by his One Sister, Cindy Caldwell of Springville, Tenn; One Brother, Michael (Karen) Hendrix of Nashville, Tenn; Step Sister, Dottie Jackson of Michigan; Three Step Brothers, Gary (Janet) Jackson of Michigan, Jack Jackson of Michigan, Billy Ray Jackson of Florida; Niece, Amber (Russell) Hill of Paris, TN, Niece, Keri (Ricky) Brookshire of Paducah, KY, Nephew, Ben (Holly) Hastings of Pemberton, NJ; Great Nieces, Ashlyn Aaron, Caylee Hastings, Hannah Brookshire, and Jenna Brookshire; Great Nephews, Kane Price, and Alex Hastings.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 and from 9 – 11 am Friday, October 16, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 am Friday, October 16, 2015.
Bennie Akers will officiate. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Interment will be at Sulphur Well Church of Christ Cemetery in Springville, Tenn.
