Joe Allen Flatt

Joe Allen Flatt age 76 of Paris, TN, died Friday, August 30, 2024, at his residence.

Joe formerly worked as a truck driver and handy man, doing various odd jobs for people. He enjoyed talking and visiting with others, especially his family, neighbors, and the older folks. 

He was married March 22, 1969, Dale Jeanette Gargus Flatt, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2013.

Born January 22, 1948, in Henderson, TN, he was the son of the late Clarence Allen Flatt and the late Cora Elmer Vinson Flatt.

Survivors include five children, Chris (Kelly) Flatt, of Puryear, Tammy Ellison of Paris, Angela (Steven) Todd of Palmersville, TN, Mickey (Christy) Meredith of Paris, and Ricky (Stacey) Meredith of Buchanan; a sister, Paula Pittman (Jeff) Johnson of Tennessee; three brothers, Patrick (Vickie) Flatt of Medina, Tim Flatt of Kentucky, and Terry Flatt of Medina; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerold Flatt, and Phillip Flatt.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. His body is to be cremated with his cremated remains to be buried with his wife at Memorial Cemetery in Paris.
