Joan Wyatt Parker, age 81, passed away August 31, 2016 at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Parker was born on May 14, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Annie Stallings Wyatt. She was married to Ruel Jackson Parker, who preceded in death.
Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and had worked at the Mitchum Company. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed writing and sending cards.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 and after 10:00 a.m until the Service at 1:00 pm on September 2, 2016 at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
Brother Johnny Farmer of Bethany Baptist Church and Brother Jonathan Smith of
Fairview Baptist Church will conduct the services.
Her grandsons and Special Nephew Mike Dinkins will serve as Pallbearers for the service and her granddaughters along with Special Niece Judy Dunlap Elford, will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
She is survived by Son, Don (Brenda) Parker, Daughters, Kathy (Terry) Carter, Barbara (Andy) Sanders, Patty (Norman) Doster all of Paris, and Lisa (Donnie Owen) Parker of Nashville. Grandchildren: Erick(Jannie) Sanders, David and Nathan Laughlin, Daniel Parker, Jeremy (Kristen) Lindsey, Christopher Carter, Whitney (Justin) Muller, Courtney Parker, Crystal Armstrong, Erica (Andrew) Flowers, Shondra (Brian) Andrews, Brandi Jo Robertson and Great-Grandchildren, Trevor Flowers, Rebel Parker, Gavin and Ryne Lindsey, Brandon Upchurch, Alyvia and Noah Andrews, Trent Carter, Makiya Robertson, Hailee Vaughn, Avery Sanders, Chloe Parker, Cameron and Harper Muller.
Also surviving are a Brother, Bobby (Bonita) Wyatt, and a Sister, Christine Townsend, Sisters-ln-law, Mabel Tyler and Teresa Parker of Paris, and Carolyn Parker of Alabama.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by Sisters, Mary Wyatt, Ollie V. Dunlap and Shirley Revel, And Brothers, Clifford and Junior Wyatt.
