Jo Ann French

Jo Ann French, age 78 of Camden, TN, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at her daughter’s residence in Mansfield, TN.

She retired from H.I.S. in Camden, TN.  She enjoyed painting ceramics, working in her flowers, and fishing.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Camden, TN.

Jo Ann was born July 27, 1939, in Camden, TN, to the late Hobart McClain and Lillie Cantrell McClain, who survives, of Camden, TN.

She was married February 2, 1957, to William Wayne “Bud” French, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2002.

Along with her mother, she is also survived by three daughters, Lesa (Scott) Waggoner of Mansfield, TN, Resa Sanders of Mansfield, TN, and Teresa (Steve) Norwood of Mansfield, TN; one brother, Dalton (Rebecca) McClain of Rogersville, AR; six grandchildren, Lori (Jason) Wade, Tab (Kim) Norwood, Rachel (Michael) Riordan, Tommy (Michelle) French, Michael Waggoner, and Tosha (Cody) Frazier; and seven great grandchildren, Dustin (Danielle) Wade, Kamryn Smith, Matthew French, Kathryn Waggoner, Chelsey French, Remington Frazier, and Beretta Frazier.

In addition to her father and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Wayne “Tuck” French.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Friday, September 8, 2017, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dwight Turner officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Riordan, Michael Waggoner, Cody Frazier, Dale McClain, Ronnie Wilson, Jason Carter, and Dustin Wade.

Burial will follow the service in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Camden, TN.
