Joan Canady Hudgins, age 75 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her residence in Paris, TN.
She retired after many years as both a waitress and cook for the Tower Sports Center & Restaurant in Paris. Joan was a member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ in Springville. She enjoyed coloring, dancing, especially the two-step, and collecting elephants.
Joan was born January 17, 1943, in Springville, TN, to the late Sam Crouch and the late Nora Mae Vancleave Crouch.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Randy) McClain of Paris, TN; one son, Kevin (Jane) Canady of Springville, TN; three sisters, Maurene Mathes of South Fulton, TN, Peggy (Larry) Hatchel of South Fulton, TN, and Carolyn Johnson of Henry, TN; six grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Canady, Amanda (Stephen) Gafford, Kayla (Ely) Davis, Trista Canady, Tabby (James) Sadler, and Courtney McClain; several great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Canady; her second husband, Bobby Hudgins; one son, Randy Canady; one sister, Mary Lou Glasgow; and one grandchild, Charlene Danielle Canady.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home. Charles Cate and Nancy Putman will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Gafford, Ely Davis, James Askew, Eugene Gafford, Brady Bratton, Roger Putman, Jimmy Sexton, and Cody McClain. Named as an honorary pallbearer is Sylvia Fields.
Burial will be in Sulphur Well Church of Christ Cemetery in Springville, TN.
