Joan Baker

Joan Carolyn Baker, age 60 of Springville, TN, died Friday, March 29, 2019, at her residence in Springville, TN.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, and planting flowers.  Joan was a member of West Wood Pentecostal Church of God in Paris.

Joan was born July 22, 1958, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late James Malcom Davis and the late Agnes Laverne Burlison Davis.

She was married February 1, 2002, to Jeff Baker, who survives, of Springville, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Tiffany (Jessie) Pewitt of McKenzie, TN; one son, Christopher (Jamie) Dicus of Sheffield, AL; three sisters, Vicky (Jerry) Hardin of Dyersburg, TN, Edith Bevis of Newbern, TN, and Nancy (Jerry) Jernigan of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Jimmy (Misty) Davis of Camden, TN; one sister-in-law, Lori Davis of Trimble, TN; four grandchildren; father-in-law, Harry Baker, Sr., of Springville, TN; sister-in-law, Melissa (Tim) Swor of Springville, TN; and brother-in-law, Harry Baker, Jr., of Mount Juliet, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Davis and Mike Davis; one brother-in-law, Eddie Bevis; and her mother-in-law, Paula Baker.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Joe Page officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mark “Bubba” Brown, Chuck Davis, John Taylor Davis, Tim Swor, John Dudenhoffer, Austin Dicus, Jayce Pewitt, and Danny Hardin, Jr.

Burial will be in Henry County Tabernacle Cemetery in Springville, TN.
