Jimmy Lee Sanford, age 70 of Paris, TN and longtime resident of Greenbrier, TN, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Jimmy retired after many years in the construction business. He enjoyed woodworking, building things, and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Light’s Chapel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, TN. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, granddaddy and great granddaddy. He always had a joke to tell and was always willing to help others.
Jimmy was born November 4, 1947, in Springfield, TN, to the late Joe D. Sanford and the late Mary Jane Hulsey Sanford.
He was married January 3, 1969, to Janice Allen Sanford, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Brad (April) Sanford of Greenbrier, TN, and Timmy (Jennifer) Sanford of Adams, TN; two sisters, Louise (Don) Williams of Springfield, TN, and Mary Lynn (Lee) Mantlo of Cottontown, TN; one brother, Gary (Betty) Sanford of Scottsville, Ky; five grandchildren, Brooke (Patrick) Osbourne, Halley Sanford, Brylee Sanford, Hunter Sanford, and Grace Sanford; and one great grandson, Wesley Osbourne.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe D. Sanford, Jr.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
